Today’s initial question is “how are you doing?” Many of us quickly respond…”I’m hanging in there.” With our current circumstances and uncertain future, many of us are finding ourselves a bit discouraged. Discouragement is nothing new. Many of the great Bible characters became discouraged. Today, we will look at the life of Elijah who heard Jezebel was searching for him to take his life and we will see some of the ways he worked his way out of discouragement. Discouragement blinds our eyes to God’s mercy and makes us perceive only the negative. May we see hope in God’s word as we look at the life of Elijah.
