Thoughts for the Day, June 30, 2020
Yes, we are living in difficult days but God’s word calls us to trust in Him, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart” (Proverbs 3: 5a). These are words we so want to follow but few fully do. We struggle with trusting God and entirely turning our worries over to Him. Trust is the channel through which God’s peace flows into us. Sunday we looked at the lives of three young Jewish men Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who lived in tumultuous days. Yet, when faced with death they trusted God and they were saved. God does His greatest works through people with trusting hearts. Rather than planning and evaluating, let’s practice trusting God continually. This shift can be life changing.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3: 5-6).
